Pierre Maroye, Class of 2013

Pierre Maroyepmaroye@ChicagoBooth.edu

Undergraduate School/Major:  I graduated from the University of Louvain with a degree in engineering.

Prior to Booth: I worked in Consulting at Deloitte and in a consulting start up focused on technology advisory.

Activities:  I am a member of the Investment Banking Group, Belgian Business Students, Giving Something Back, and the Public Speaking Group.

Why did you choose Chicago Booth? I chose Chicago for the school's strong faculty, especially in finance, and its general reputation. I also chose it for the flexibility of the curriculum and for the quality of the Career Services team. One final point for the Belgians considering Booth is that the Booth alumni network in Belgium is huge, much bigger than any other top US program.

What do you consider a "must visit" place in Chicago?  Probably the first thing to do after arriving in Chicago is to go and have a drink at the top of the Hancock Tower, the view of the city is great! I also strongly recommend trying a burger at the Billy Goat Tavern.

Ask me about...:Pretty much anything, such as how you can survive in Chicago without Belgian chocolates and Belgian beers! Anything regarding the choice between an MBA in Europe and in the USA, life in Chicago, the neighborhood where you should live if you want to have an active social life.
