Early Career Applicant Profile

The decision to apply to business school is a big one. The decision about when to apply is equally big, and can be a bit confusing. To help you determine if applying as an Early Career candidate is right for you, please consider the following guidelines:

Applicants in Final Year of College

If you are in your final year of college and thinking about applying to Chicago Booth, you can learn more about the criteria with which Chicago Booth Admissions staff makes decisions about college seniors. While this list is by no means complete, it can help you in determining if now is the right time to submit an application.

The Graduate Management Admissions Council (GMAC) offers advice to college seniors on taking the GMAT, researching business schools and enrolling in an MBA program on their website.

Applicants with One to Three Years of Full-Time Work Experience

If you are currently in your first year of employment and considering applying to Chicago Booth, you are also considered an Early Career candidate. Learn more about the criteria used to evaluate an applicant.
