Early Career Candidates: Overview and Application Process

If you are eager to enroll in an MBA program at an early stage of your career, Chicago Booth welcomes your application for admission.  Contrary to popular belief, Chicago Booth encourages applications from candidates who have 1-3 years of work experience, or who plan to enroll in the fall after their college graduation.

There is no separate program or admissions process for Early Career candidates, but applications from these students will be reviewed with certain criteria in mind.  To give you a sense of what makes a successful Early Career candidate, we've prepared a profile of Early Career candidates as a guideline for interested students. Note: If you are a student at the University of Chicago, you should review the Chicago Booth Scholars program.

  • How to Apply - All Chicago Booth applicants use our online application system. Registration and creation of a username and password are required to begin the online application. You can download the application (PDF) for informational purposes.
  • Admissions Interviews - Interviews will be granted on an invitation-only basis after evaluation of a submitted application. Interviews are conducted by admissions staff, students, or alumni. They are held on campus or in a location convenient for the applicant. All interviews, regardless of who conducts them, receive equal weight in the evaluation process.
