Chicago Booth Scholars Program

Corporate recruiters have expressed a strong interest in hiring younger workers with solid business training. If you are a fourth-year student in the College of the University of Chicago, you can apply for admission to Chicago Booth’s Full-Time MBA Program. You will be provisionally admitted with a $10,000 per year scholarship, and granted an automatic two-year deferment. During that time, you will be expected to seek jobs offering substantive experience that will position you to succeed at Chicago Booth.

Candidate Profile

  • Quality work experience (professional internships and/or entrepreneurial spirit)
  • Competitive GPA (~3.3 or higher on 4.0 scale)
  • Competitive GMAT score
  • Student leadership role(s) during college
  • Intellectual curiosity
  • Two letters of recommendation, including one from an internship supervisor and one from a professor (three preferred)
  • Demonstration of the ability to question the status quo, engage in the process of learning, and thrive on an academic challenge
  • Personal maturity
  • Ability to talk about the need for an MBA in the near future
