International Programs

International Programs oversees two academic programs designed to enhance our students' MBA experience with an international perspective.  Students seeking academic, cultural and social experiences overseas can study abroad through our International Business Exchange Program (IBEP).  Through IBEP, Chicago Booth students can spend one academic term abroad at one of our 33 partner schools situated in 21 countries around the world.

Students hoping to position themselves for an international career can pursue International MBA (IMBA) degree.  The IMBA degree builds on the Chicago MBA by including five international business courses, one academic term of study abroad and a second language proficiency.  Because the IMBA is a two year program and rigorous in nature, we recommend that students enter the program with a strong second language proficiency.

Additionally, International Programs provides support to all international students at Chicago Booth. Building on our International Student Orientation, we support and advise international students throughout the year on a variety of issues.  Some of these topics include transitioning back to life as a student, referring students to various resources at Chicago Booth, at the University of Chicago and around Chicago, and assisting students and partners/spouses with special issues such as language, networking or cultural adjustment.

International Programs is here to help you meet your professional, academic and personal goals.  We look forward to working with you.
