Leadership Effectiveness and Development (LEAD)

Larry Gelwix

You'll need more than the right answer to be effective as a business leader. Leadership depends on your ability to:

  • motivate people
  • build relationships
  • influence outcomes

Our unique Leadership Effectiveness and Development (LEAD) Program gives you the chance to practice and perfect key communication skills such as negotiation, team-building, and giving feedback. LEAD builds these skills through 125 hours of dedicated programming during your first year. You'll take part in role playing, group exercises as well as a host of other creative activities and experiences. You will be grouped in cohorts with about 50 other students for LEAD.

LEAD starts at Core (orientation). What better way to meet your new classmates and learn about team building than through the LEAD Outdoor Experience. This challenging retreat includes: high- and low-ropes courses, climbing walls, and more! Check out the photo gallery from last year's LOE.
