Our Faculty
An intense, exhilarating climate of discussion and debate attracts the best minds to the Chicago Booth faculty. Our learning environment is an active one, where faculty share information, elicit responses, spur dialogue, encourage differences of opinions and debate ideas—amongst themselves and in the classroom.
At Chicago Booth, faculty test those ideas against real-world facts. Through consulting to business, our professors rework and refine theories into solutions. That's one reason why Chicago Booth is known around the world for ideas that shape business practice and influence public policy.
Research at Chicago Booth grows directly out of our lively intellectual culture. Faculty members are free to pursue any issues that interest them, across disciplines. Their research regularly appears in over 200 economic and business journals.
Chicago Booth professors have received international recognition for their work. They are the recipients of Nobel prizes (6), a MacArthur Genius Grant, the John Bates Clark Medal and the Bernácer Prize. Faculty are also represented in the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and have been named Fulbright Scholars.
