Biography

Elena Zinchenko teaches Leading and Managing Teams, and Strategies and Processes of Negotiations at Chicago Booth. Prior to teaching at Booth, Ms. Zinchenko taught at the University of Chicago, Northwestern University and Harvard University.

Ms. Zinchenko also holds a position of the Assistant Provost for Research at the University's Office of Research. In this role, she leads strategic planning and implementation of major research initiatives in the Office of Research and across Divisions. Additionally, Ms. Zinchenko oversees Research Development Support which targets large federal funding opportunities and provides comprehensive proposal development support, as well as seed funding for early-stage research. Her other responsibilities include the development of institutional analytics, benchmarking and projections for federal and corporate funding, and the metrics for broader impacts of research.

Ms. Zinchenko’s current research interests include novel models for research innovation. Her previous work focused on the application of advances in neuroscience to business and education, as well as broad theoretical questions of cognition and development. She has conducted brain-imaging and behavioral research and received her doctorate from Harvard University and post-doctoral fellowship from the University of Chicago.
