Anil K Kashyap is the Edward Eagle Brown Professor of Economics and Finance at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is an advisor to the Swedish Riksbank and a member of the G30-affiliated Bellagio Group. He serves as a consultant to the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, as a research associate for the National Bureau of Economic Research, and as a board member of the Bank of Italy's Einuadi Institute of Economics and Finance.
Kashyap serves on a number of advisory boards, including the Federal Reserve Bank of New York's Economic Advisory Panel, the Congressional Budget Office's Panel of Economic Advisors, the Office of Financial Research's Financial Research Advisory Committee, and the International Monetary Fund's Advisory Group on Macroprudential Policy. He is on the editorial boards of several scholarly journals and is a member of the executive committee of the American Economic Association.
Kashyap cofounded the U.S. Monetary Policy Forum and is one of the faculty directors of the Chicago Booth Initiative on Global Markets. He currently teaches Analyzing Financial Crises and Understanding Central Banks.
