Selection Criteria
Nominate an AlumWinners of the Distinguished Alumni Awards demonstrate the highest level of professional achievement. The following selection criteria serve as guidelines for their qualification for an award.
Corporate Award
Chicago Booth seeks to present the Corporate award to an individual who has demonstrated professional achievement of the highest caliber in the management of a for-profit organization. Such achievement may include:
- Consistent, long-term achievement in a career in the management of a for-profit organization
- Success of a total enterprise, or a subsidiary or department, which can be directly attributed to the direction of the individual
- Recognition by colleagues and peers of outstanding leadership and administrative abilities in a corporate area
Entrepreneurial Award
Chicago Booth seeks to present the Entrepreneurial award to an individual who has demonstrated professional achievement of the highest caliber in the management of an enterprise. Such achievement may include:
- Creation or significant involvement in the formation of a successful enterprise or multiple enterprises
- Successful creation of a new idea, new business, and new product and/or private ownership which can be directly attributed to the direction of the individual
- Creating a significant enterprise through buying a small business or group of products
- Recognition by colleagues and peers of outstanding leadership and administrative abilities in an entrepreneurial area
Public Sector/Public Service Award
Chicago Booth seeks to present the Public Sector/Public Service award to an individual who has demonstrated either outstanding success in a career in the public sector or extraordinary contributions in the charitable, non-profit, or civic arena. Such achievement may include:
- Consistent long-term achievement in a career in the public sector
- Use of influence and effectiveness in the business world to support a pursuit in public service
Young Alumni Award
Chicago Booth seeks to present the Young Alumni Award to an individual who is under 45 years of age and has demonstrated extraordinary success in a career since graduating from Chicago Booth and/or recognition by colleagues and peers of outstanding leadership and administrative abilities.
Please note: Only alumni of Chicago Booth, or its predecessor programs, are eligible for nomination.
