Host a Corporate ConversationHosting a Corporate Conversation is an excellent way to showcase your company and attract top students. More than 200 companies hold events each year, and space is limited. We encourage you to request your event during our booking request period, May 11 through 13, 2009. After May 13, 2009, please contact your Relationship Manager to schedule a Corporate Conversation. If you do not have an assigned Relationship Manager, please contact us at 773.702.7405. For both first and second-year events we encourage firms to move away from a presentation-style format. Successful events have typically been those that focus solely on networking or open up for networking after a short presentation. Truly successful events are those that have broken out of the mold and delivered content in a way that allows students to learn about the firm and make a personal connection. Firms gain exponentially from these events. Second-Year Corporate ConversationsFor the 2009-2010 season, second-year Single Firm Corporate Conversations will begin on September 21, 2009. Since second-year students likely know you, your firm, and your industry well, we discourage presentations, PowerPoint, videos, and formal speakers at these events. First-Year Single Firm and Multi-Firm Corporate ConversationsFor first-years, Single Firm Corporate Conversations are ideal for companies that are well-known on campus and draw more than 100 students. For companies that attract fewer students, we recommend Multi-Firm Corporate Conversations, function-focused events allowing time for both brief corporate overviews and networking. Events take place during a 3.25-hour time slot and each participating company is given 30 minutes for a corporate overview. Either three or four companies will participate in each event, with a joint one-hour networking session between the second and third corporate overviews. For the 2009-2010 season, first-year Corporate Conversations will begin on October 19, 2009. Request for EventsDue to high demand, firms may submit a request for one second-year event and one first-year event during the initial booking period. Beginning June 1, we will be happy to schedule additional events as the schedule permits. Event ConfirmationWithin two weeks after submitting a request, you will receive written confirmation of your event date and time. When possible, we'll confirm the location as well. However, classroom space cannot be confirmed until early September. We'll also send information on advertising your event, arranging catering, ordering audio/visual equipment, and sending materials in advance. For more information on these details and pricing, please contact your Relationship Manager.
