Verma is a general partner of Edgewood Ventures, LLC. Edgewood is a family office focusing on emerging markets in India.
Verma’s focus is on the defense and homeland security industry in India. As part of his Indian focus, he cofounded as spinoffs of Edgewood the following companies where he sits on the board: HAL - Edgewood, EdgeCureAire, Edgewood Network, and Edgewood Mobile.
Verma sits on the board of directors of three nonprofit boards including University of California at Merced, One Economy (Based in Washington DC), and Upward, Forward, Onward (Based in Silicon Valley and Chicago).
While at Chicago Booth, Verma founded the Hyde Park Angels to promote entrepreneurship in the Chicago area. Verma holds a bachelor's degree in finance and marketing from Santa Clara University and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
