Mark Wilson, '95
Senior Vice President - Marketing, BlackBerry
Wilson brings 20 years of marketing experience to his current role as senior vice president, global marketing at BlackBerry where he leads all marketing activities including corporate marketing and communications, product marketing, field and channel marketing, and partner and ecosystem development. Before joining BlackBerry in early 2014, Wilson was the chief marketing officer at Avaya where he built Avaya’s brand preference and thought leadership recognition through “Voice of Avaya” awareness campaign. He was also responsible for strengthening both solution and product marketing, and increasing their competitive win rate by creating a competitive marketing function, including building competitive war rooms, testing laboratories, and sales material.
Prior to his time at Avaya, Wilson led the marketing teams at Sybase during its successful turnaround and eventual sale to SAP. He also held consulting and marketing roles at KPMG Consulting and AT&T. Wilson has an MBA in marketing and finance, and an MA in Public Policy Studies from the University of Chicago. He also has a BA in History from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Wilson was named among the top 25 Marketers in 2009-2011, and 2013 by BtoB Magazine.
