Senior Director Strategic Sourcing, Walmart Global Sourcing

Shaukat has over two decades of cross category, cross industry, supply chain, and procurement experience with a proven history of increasing top line sales through effective supply chain operations and cost reductions. He has initiated and led procurement, facilities management and equipment operations in Asia, North America, and Europe. At Walmart, Shaukat has responsibilities for strategic sourcing for general merchandise, which includes key value chain transformation, cost savings, supplier matrix, process enhancements and global program activities. He is also the business lead sourcing over $3.4 billion in toys, seasonal, and entertainment. 


Prior to Walmart, Shaukat was heading facilities management globally for Royal Dutch Shell. Previously, he held key transformation positions with McDonald’s Corp., where he initiated the establishment of McDonald’s Global Procurement program. He was also country equipment manager in Pakistan and performed McDonald’s country opening in 1998. Prior, he held management positions in International Tobacco machinery BV in Holland and worked as planning engineer in Alcatel Telecom. Shaukat is originally from Pakistan and resides in China with his wife and three children. Shaukat graduated from the University of Maryland in electrical engineering and has an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
