Alexey Rakhmanov, '03 (EXP-8)

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade

Alexey Rakhmanov currently serves as the deputy minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation where he previously held the title of director of the Department of Automotive Industry and Agricultural Machinery. Prior to joining the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Rakhmanov worked as the director of business development at JSC Severstal-Auto. From 1998 to 2000, Rakhmanov held a number of leadership roles at Ernst & Young including corporate finance manager, senior consultant of the Corporate Finance Group of Independence Due Diligence in London, and senior manager of Corporate Finance in Moscow. In his early career, Rakhmanov also worked at the Russian Privatization Center and the International Relations Department in the Administration of Nizhny Novgorod region.

Rakhmanov received his master of science in mechanical engineering at Nizhny Novgorod Polytechnic Institute, a master of English translation at Nizhny Novgorod Linguistic University, and in 2003, he received an MBA from Chicago Booth’s Executive MBA Program in Barcelona.
