Chief Investment Officer, Numeric Investors
Rob is Numeric’s chief investment officer. In this role he oversees all investment activity including portfolio management, investment research, and trading. He is also chair of the firm’s Investment Committee. Rob also has portfolio management responsibility for the World Market Neutral strategy. He joined Numeric as director of international strategies in 1997, when he designed and launched Numeric’s Japanese, European, and World strategies.
Prior to joining Numeric, Rob was a principal in the Active International Group at State Street Global Advisors. During his eight years there, Rob performed quantitative research on country, currency, and stock selection strategies in the international markets and was the principal architect of State Street’s active emerging markets investment process. Previously, Rob worked at Harvard Management Company. He has also been a graduate instructor in the International Economics and Finance program at Brandeis University. Rob has 25 years of investment experience.
He received a BBA in finance from the University of Michigan and an MBA in finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
