Mar Hernandez

Senior Client Partner, Transearch

Mar Hernandez is a Senior Client Partner in Transearch Latin America's Miami office. Her experience spans industries and functions and is heavily focused on financial services and the BPO industries.

Hernandez brings 23 years of experience in the marketing/BPO industry, including a broad background in product development, sales management, marketing, and CRM services strategy for international markets. She also has extensive experience creating short- and long-term sales plans involving strategic account penetration in Latin America and the US Hispanic market.

Prior to joining Transearch, Hernandez was director of the business process outsourcing division for Amicorp, a financial services company with presence in 26 countries. She was responsible for the results of the business unit supervising the entire sales team based in Europe and the Americas. She evaluated new delivery platforms with the operations team and supported sales opportunities.

Hernandez's career includes roles as vice president of business development for the business process outsourcing division for EDS-MphasiS, now an HP company, with operations in different locations. Hernandez was also vice president of sales in Latin America at TeleTech, a CRM leading company with operations in more than 25 countries. There, she managed off-shoring business opportunities in Latin America and US Hispanic markets and was responsible for the acquisition and support of new operations in the Latin America region, including the management of multicultural marketing projects.

In Hernandez's duties as coordinator for international accounts at McCann Erickson Latin America & Caribbean and McCann Relationship Marketing, she was responsible for developing a single strategy between the two companies in seven countries for one of the largest telecom and media companies in the region. 

Previously, as an account director in McCann Erickson and Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising in Spain, she built and executed the communication strategy of international clients such as Unilever, Bacardi-Martini, Sara Lee, Danon Group, Doctors without Borders, and Durex. In 1998 and 1999, she received the EFI Award for the best efficient communication strategy for her clients.

Hernandez received a bachelor's degree in communications science from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, and an MBA from ESADE in Spain.
