Group Vice President, US Analytics, Catalina

Jim Maurer, currently group vice president of US Analytics at Catalina, has been with Catalina since 2006. Catalina is the global leader in behavior-based, multi-channel, loyalty marketing solutions. In the US the Catalina network spans over 25,000 grocery, drug, and mass merchandise stores. It reaches over 200MM shoppers representing more than 75 percent of US households. At Catalina Jim is responsible for managing all analytic work done on behalf of both retailer and manufacturer clients. To accomplish this Jim manages a geographically dispersed team of data Scientists, market researchers, programmer/analysts, and statisticians.

Immediately prior to Catalina Jim worked as a consultant to the Allstate Insurance Company designing and implementing improvements in the business processes between IT and marketing. Jim began his career at Information Resources (IRI) where he worked in a variety of roles including vice president of international development and director of analytic consulting. Jim received his MBA from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago in 2000. He also has a master’s in economics, with a focus in the areas of econometrics and statistics from Northern Illinois University.

Jim resides in Arlington Heights, Illinois with his wife and their two 16 year-old twin sons. He is an active volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America.
