Retired Chief Financial Officer, TOMS Shoes

Jeff Watts, '78, has served as a financial executive and board member for more than 25 years. He has most recently served as the chief financial officer and secretary of TOMS Shoes, which he has helped grow into a global company doing business in some 50 countries. For every pair of shoes TOMS sells commercially, it gives a pair of shoes to a child in need, one for one.

Prior to TOMS, Watts helped grow and guide Capstone Turbine, P-com, and First Advantage from their early venture capital stages through their initial public offerings, as CFO and secretary. He helped Duckhorn Vineyards, OutlookSoft, and Superior Access Insurance Services develop from early stages through their private liquidity events. Early in his career, he worked with Bank of America, IBM, and McKinsey & Company.

Watts earned an MBA from Chicago Booth and an bachelor's degree from UC Berkeley.
