James Dodge is the North American lead for Nielsen’s Retail Consulting & Analytics group. RCA focuses exclusively on retail clients, leveraging client, Nielsen and third party data to generate the insights needed to inform strategy and create tactics. Recent engagements include a unique attitudinal, behavioral and geo-demographic segmentation in partnership with The Cambridge Group, pricing and promotion optimization, assortment optimization, real estate strategy, format innovation, and private brand strategy. 

James has deep experience in advanced analytics and recently lead the development of two custom BI solutions for non-CPG Nielsen clients. Prior to rejoining Nielsen Advanced Analytics, James was at McKinsey’s Retail Practice and System Development & Integration, a Chicago-based technology consulting firm. 

James holds an MBA with concentrations in economics and finance from the University of Chicago. He received his undergraduate degree in psychology from DePaul University, graduating from the honors program.
