Gerald Stalun, '86
Managing Director, EIG Global Energy Partners
Gerald Stalun, '86, joined EIG in 2008 and leads EIG's Power Generation Group in Washington DC. Prior to joining EIG, Stalun was the head of asset-based investments at Americas for Arcapita, a leading private equity firm active in the sector.
Stalun has more than 20 years of experience in the global power business, and some of his previous positions in the industry include senior vice president of GE Energy Financial Services, responsible for equity and debt investments in the power and energy sectors; managing director of Duke Capital Partners, focusing on equity and mezzanine capital in the power, energy, and real estate areas; managing director and co-head of Power Project Finance for Bank of America Securities; as well as energy-related investment and finance positions at JP Morgan Chase and Prudential Capital Group.
He received a BS in accounting from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Chicago Booth. Stalun previously practiced as a certified public accountant in Illinois.
