About the Conference
The 2012 Chicago-Minnesota Accounting Theory Conference, hosted by professor Haresh Sapra, will take place September 7 - 8, 2012, at Gleacher Center, the downtown campus of the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
The conference papers will focus on analytical or empirical work that is firmly grounded in an analytical model. There will be six 75-minute presentations in workshop format.
We will have a mix of speakers from accounting, finance, and economics who work on incentive and information issues. Speakers will be announced shortly.
The conference will begin at 1 p.m. Friday, September 7, at Gleacher Center, located at 450 North Cityfront Plaza, and end with a cocktail reception and dinner at a downtown Chicago venue.
On Saturday, September 8, a continental breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 8 a.m. at Gleacher Center. Conference sessions will be from 8 a.m. to noon, when box lunches will be available.
Participants will be responsible for transportation to the conference as well as all hotel and travel expenses. The conference will provide all meals.
