Boothies hamming it up at the Shedd.
A crowd of 800 Booth students and their dates brought Chicago's Shedd Aquarium to life on the evening of Feb. 23 for Booth's annual Winter Formal.
"I thought the event was fantastic," said Catey Mark, Class of '13, who led the formal's planning committee. "Everything went smoothly and everyone seemed to have a great night. The unique venue really set the stage for a memorable formal."
Adding to the convenience of the black-tie optional event were buses that shuttled students dance both from downtown and from the Harper Center to the dance.
Attendees began the evening with exclusive access to several of the Shedd's most popular exhibits, including the Abbott Oceanarium, MacArthur Exhibit, Sea Otter Cove and the Polar Play Zone & Underwater Viewing area.
After a dinner of Jamaican jerk chicken, Caribbean-style beef sirloin and cheesecake martinis, Boothies moved into the Pritzker Caribbean Reef Room, dancing to music spun by DJ Toast and Jam. The night was capped off with an after party downtown at the Crimson Lounge.
