Victoria Sassine, '99

Board Director, Aston and AMG Funds, National Faculty Director, Goldman Sachs' 10,000 Small Businesses Initiative

Victoria Sassine, '99, has worked in strategic financial and marketing management positions in a variety of industries including biotechnology (Biogen Idec), consumer products (Phillip Morris, Kraft Foods) and petrochemical (Royal Dutch Shell Oil). She started her career as an auditor for Touche Ross LLP. Currently, Sassine is a lecturer in finance and entrepreneurship at Babson College, and is an advisory board member for several growing privately held firms.

Sassine serves as a mutual fund trustee for the AMG Funds and Aston funds.(NYSE: AMG). As a trustee, she provides oversight for 70 mutual fund products, comprising $75 billion of Assets under Management (AUM). Subadvisors include Yacktman fund, PIMCO bond fund, and TimeSquare Capital Management.

Sassine's academic experience includes curriculum development and teaching graduate-level (MBA) corporate finance, financial statement analysis, entrepreneurial finance and strategic marketing. She has also designed and launched several successful Babson executive education programs, both in finance and entrepreneurship.

Sassine is a national faculty director for Goldman Sachs' 10,000 Small Businesses initiative. She has taught entrepreneurship and innovation techniques to hundreds of small business owners throughout the world. Launched in 2008, the Goldman Sachs program serves as a vehicle to job creation by providing access to business education and financial capital for growing entrepreneurial firms.

Sassine serves on the board of several not-for-profit organizations, including the Center of Women and Enterprise, one of the largest regional women’s business centers in the United States. Her philanthropic interests focus on entrepreneurship and women economic empowerment.

Sassine has a master's in business administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a bachelor's of science in business administration in accounting. She is a certified public accountant.
