Susan J. Templeton is the founder of Stafford Wells Advisors, a wealth management firm serving individuals, families, and businesses. Stafford Wells was founded in 2008 with the mission of delivering independent, complete, unbiased investment and planning advice, free of any conflicts of interest.

Templeton has more than 20 years' experience in investment management. She has overseen two mutual fund companies, the Newton Funds (a subsidiary of the M&I Corp.) and the William Blair Mutual Funds. Prior to founding Stafford Wells Advisors, Templeton was a partner with QIS Advisors, a quantitative money management firm serving institutional and high-net-worth investors.

Templeton received her bachelor's degree in marketing from the University of Denver and her MBA from Chicago Booth.Templeton is a trustee for the Advocate Foundation, where she chairs the planned giving committee and is a member of the investment committee. She serves on the investment committee for the Visiting Nurse Association (Chicago) and is a former trustee of the Village of Oak Brook Police Pension Plan.

Templeton is a regular speaker at events for a variety of organizations and at business conferences. She has recently spoken to the DePaul's Center for Financial Services Wealth Management Conference, Investment News Magazine conference, Chicago Think Tank, Chicago CEO Roundtable, Hinsdale Executives Club, Nequa Valley High School district, and the Good Samaritan Hospital Woman's Physicians Association.

Templeton writes a personal finance column for Today's Chicago Woman magazine (tcwmag.com). Stafford Wells is a member of the Fee Only Financial Planners Association (NAPFA) and the Financial Planning Association (FPA).
