Filippo di Mauro, AM '85

Head of External Developments Division, European Central Bank

Filippo di Mauro, AM '85, has been responsible for global economic analysis and forecasting at the European Central Bank since 1998. Previously, he served as an economist at the International Monetary Fund, Asian Developments Bank, and the Bank of Italy, where he started his career in 1984. His current research includes work on international linkages and competitiveness. He recently edited a book entitled The External Dimension of the Euro Area with Cambridge University Press.

Di Mauro holds a PhD in Economics with a focus in International Economics and Development Banking from American University and an MA in Economics from the University of Chicago.
