Associate Dean, Chicago Booth

William W. Kooser is the Associate Dean for Evening MBA and Weekend MBA Programs at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is responsible for all administrative aspects of Chicago Booth's evening, weekend and executive MBA programs. These programs include nearly 1800 students and three campuses around the world (Chicago, London, and Singapore).

Prior to 1998, Mr. Kooser was the Associate Dean for International Programs and responsible for the recruitment of international students, the administration of international exchange programs, MBA Enterprise Corps, and joint degree programs in international studies, and the development of new international relationships with other schools and businesses. He was also the director of the Chicago Booth's International MBA program.

From September 1997 to July 1998, Mr. Kooser was also the Acting Director of MBA Career Services, Chicago Booth's career management and placement office. This office provides career management coaching and skill development programs to nearly 1,200 full time MBA students and manages an on-campus interviewing process that handles nearly 300 companies and over 12,000 interviews annually.

Mr. Kooser came to the GSB in 1987 and has been involved in a wide variety of roles in the Chicago Booth's administration. He has been responsible for MBA admissions, the development of an internal quality management program, internal reorganization and management, and a variety of special projects.

Mr. Kooser received his BA from Yale University in 1978 and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 1981. He also holds an MBA from the Katholieke Universiteit te Leuven in Leuven, Belgium. Prior to joining the staff of Chicago Booth he was a consultant with Touche Ross and Co. from 1981 to 1987 where he focused on operations improvements and technology strategy.
