Mr. Brown advises institutional investment clients in Japan and Europe.
His main research interests include analysis of global capital flows, European monetary union, Japanese monetary issues, and capital market pricing (including in particular the possible existence of bubbles).
Mr. Brown is a regular contributor of articles to Nikkei Kin-yu Shimbun and author of several books on international financial topics. The three most recent books are:

Mr. Brown is now working on a new book under the title of “Currency Market Bubbles: irrational exuberance of the carry-traders?” (expected publication in 2008).
He holds degrees from The University of Chicago and The London School of Economics.
