Rizwan Kadir, '97 Event DetailsDress code: Business/business casual attire Speaker ProfileTariq Malhance Mr. Malhance joined UIB in 2005 and has overall management responsibility for North American principal investing activities. In addition, Tariq is responsible for developing and advancing Unicorn Investment Bank's complimentary service offerings such as commercial and investment banking, municipal and corporate debt offerings and other Shari'ah compliant financial services. Mr. Malhance serves as Director of Precision Time and also serves as an executive committee member of Ellington. As City Comptroller, Mr. Malhance managed the City's cash flow, debt, and credit activities. He also was responsibile for the City's accounting, auditing, and financial and compliance reporting. Mr. Malhance oversaw the issuance of approximately $40 billion in bonds to support various City projects, including the airport revenue bonds, water and sewer bonds, and other specialized financing arrangements. Recently, he led the $1.8 billion securitization of the seven-mile Chicago Skyway tollway to Macquarie Bank of Australia and Cintra of Spain. This transaction was the first of its kind in the U.S. Mr. Malhance was an active trustee member of four of the City's pension funds, which together control about $13 billion and invest in a variety of investment funds, including private equity funds. |
