The focus will be on the investment process of the US Large Cap Growth Stock team of Alliance Capital Management and its foundation in fundamental research. As our team sees it, I will present some of the determinants of successful, replicable growth stock investing as well as a paradox faced by growth investors. Our reconciliation of this paradox will be discussed. Where all this work leads us in portfolio construction today will also be presented using the example of a representative portfolio.

Alliance Capital Management's Chicago office
Mr. Hasnain joined Alliance Capital in 1994 after working as a strategist with Merrill Lynch Capital Markets for two years. Previously he was an international economist with Citicorp for a year and spent two years as a financial analyst at Goldman Sachs & Co. He holds a ScB degree from Brown University, an M Phil from Cambridge University, and studied towards a doctorate degree at Stanford University's Graduate School of Business.
