Faculty Competitiveness

Help Chicago Booth recruit and retain the world's finest discipline based faculty and support research with the power to transform corporate and civic life. Chicago Booth faculty dominate the top academic prizes:

  • The only two winners of the Fischer Black Prize for the top finance scholar under age 40.
  • Six Nobel Prize-winning faculty members.
  • Three of the five winners of the Elaine Bennett Prize for women in economics.
  • Five Samuelson Prize winners in the past seven years.
  • In the past five years alone, Chicago Booth faculty have been recognized with 34 awards, including the first MacArthur Fellowship awarded to a business school professor.

Student Scholarships

Help Chicago Booth achieve the critical edge in recruiting top talent and ensure that the highest caliber students join our community. Over the past four years we have increased scholarship aid by an average of 16.6% annually, a trend made possible through private support. Since 2003, our academic programs have grown tremendously:

  • Full-Time MBA Program applications have grown steadily by 16 percent.
  • Executive MBA Programs have seen unprecedented increases with 143 percent in North America, 114 percent in Europe, and 50 percent in Singapore.
  • Together the Evening and Weekend MBA programs have seen a 16 percent increase in applications.

Global Visibility

Help faculty and students at our campuses in London and Singapore achieve greater visibility throughout the world, build strong corporate relations across Europe and Asia, and better support our alumni who work and live in these regions.

  • In the past 10 years, more than 12,195 MBA and PhD students have attended our campuses worldwide, attending 5,208 sections of 300 different classes.

Intellectual Capital

Help Chicago Booth continue to bring you our latest thinking via Capital Ideas, Chicago Booth Magazine, Chicago On, Business Forecast, Global Leadership Series, Management Conference, and more.

  • Since its launch in 2005, the Global Leadership Series has engaged the business community worldwide, bringing faculty and alumni speakers to 30 events in 18 cities.
  • Chicago Booth's research publication, Capital Ideas, has grown from a quarterly research summary to a magazine focusing specific and timely areas of research in each issue, supplemented with video interviews online.
