Event Details

A year ago, Spencer Koppel, '76 started Geek2Geek (www.gk2gk.com) an online service for self-proclaimed nerds to meet others who are more into computers, games, books and Star Trek than the normal dating scene. Geeks are not looking for a "romantic walk on the beach," Koppel explains, "they are looking to see if you have an Xbox."

Members of the service come up with their own user names (like "Tall, Dork and Handsome") and fill in a profile that asks for the favorite board game, web site or gadget. But there are no photos. According to Koppel, "True geeks don't care about looks. Looks are not how our members form relationships."

After sending in your tax return (due April 17th), get a little fun back in your life. Come to hear how a 65-year-old GSB alum has transformed the online dating world and brought both meaning and a bit of levity to the lives of many.
