Open Innovation - reaching outside of your company to identify new sources of innovation - has received tremendous attention in recent years. For example, Procter & Gamble publicly stated a goal that 50% of new products launched will come from products developed outside of the company. But does the Open Innovation hype match reality? Evergreen IP (EIP) has been at the forefront of the Open Innovation revolution. Recently featured in 2 Harvard Business Review articles and the book "The Global Brain", EIP has worked with hundreds of inventors and dozens of major consumer goods companies to help execute open innovation strategies. In the process, they've learned first-hand what's working and what's not ... what supports open innovation, and what hinders it. John Funk and Dave Bayless will share practical insights on open innovation, and strategies for corporations and entrepreneurs looking to capitalize on this trend.
