Is confidence genetic or are there things one can do to improve confidence? Why do so many women, even the most successful, struggle with feelings of self-doubt? In their new book, The Confidence Code, journalists Katty Kay and Claire Shipman explore the nature of women and confidence. They travel to the frontiers of neuroscience on a hunt for the confidence gene and reveal surprising new research on its roots in our brains. They visit psychologists who explain how we can all chose to be more confident. They interview women leaders in sports, politics, the military and the arts. They examine the impact of a lack of confidence on our leadership, success, and fulfillment.
So come prepared to discuss The Confidence Code and what we can learn from it. If you do not have time to read the book, take the confidence quiz at http://theconfidencecode.com/confidence-quiz/.
