Rometty, CEO of IBM, said predictive analytics will supplant gut instinct and experience as the basis for major decisions in businesses, while social software will become the "new production line" to create value. IBMs strategy is helping other organizations succeed by leveraging data using IBMs knowhow and tools. Data, she says, may be a natural resource, but how you use it will determine whether you win or lose.
