As reported in the Chicago Tribune ["From Soviet warheads to nuclear fuel," 10 December 2013], Cindy Boggs for 16 years helped bring enough nuclear material to the US from Russia's secret weapons arsenal to destroy the world several times over.  Ms. Boggs joined Argonne's efforts in Russia in 1997 and was sent to Russia that same year.
