ELECTIONS
We will also be holding elections during the holiday dinner to take office in February 2014. We are planning a change of our bylaws to accommodate a restructuring of the board that will need to be put to a club vote. Absentee Ballots will be sent out via email and will be accepted until the start of the event.
What is the change? Given increased interest in the club, we are attempting to involve some of our more seasoned and influential alumni on an advisory board of directors to ensure we are serving the needs of as many of the 700+ South Florida alumni as possible. Advisory Directors will be responsible for initiating the programming of one club event every two years as part of their role. Board membership is for 5 years, with the ability to go inactive at any time due to personal obligations and or move. Thanks to all that joined us for the Booth-Stanford-All Ivy+ DolphinsTailgate. We are requesting nominations for these advisory directors and strongly encourage your input.
We are also soliciting nominations for 5 club officers. We will put up all of the officer positions to a club vote. Please have nominations to JD Henao, jdhenao@connectorsinternational.com, outgoing club President, by close of business, December 5th, to ensure inclusion of the name on the absentee ballot. The positions are:
President (2-year term)
Executive Vice President, Treasury and Secretary (1-year term)
