Victor Khosla (Speaker) '83

Mr. Khosla established SVP in 2001. He is Chief Investment Officer for the various funds and oversees $4 billion in AUM. From 1999 to 2002, he managed a $671 million fund that invested in distressed debt in Japan in a joint venture with Moore Capital Management, LLC. From 1998 to 1999, Mr. Khosla was President of Cerberus Capital Management, LP, where he participated in the management of a $5 billion private investment fund focused on distressed assets and had primary responsibility for building the Japanese business. From 1993 to 1998, he was a Managing Director and Co-Head of the Distressed Products Group at Merrill Lynch & Co., where he built and managed a premier global distressed debt proprietary trading business. At the time of his departure from Merrill Lynch, Mr. Khosla had investment authority for $2 billion in corporate and real estate investments and headed a team of 40 analysts and traders based in New York, Tokyo, London and Hong Kong. Prior to his tenure at Merrill Lynch & Co., Mr. Khosla held various positions at Citibank, Booz Allen Hamilton and General Motors. Mr. Khosla received a Bachelors in Commerce (with Honors) from Delhi University in 1978, an M.A. in Economics from Vanderbilt University in 1981, and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago in 1983.
