Beginning in a small town called Vienne a stone's throw south of the gastronomic capital of France, Lyon, to a quaint departmental capital called Valence, the Rhone River carves its way through the steep slopes of the Northern Rhone wine region. In what are considered the finest expressions of Syrah and Viognier, the vineyards and production volumes are small but these wines are deeply flavored, fragrant and can be as long lived as some of the best Bordeaux wines.
Jointly sponsored by the College and Chicago Booth alumni associations, we invite novices and aficionados of all levels. To pour a high-quality selection of wine combined with healthy interaction and learning, we are limiting this event to 20 participants.
The event will be held at the home of Daphne Feng in the Mission/Dolores neighborhood and will begin at 6:40 pm with registration, mingling, and light refreshment. Tasting will begin promptly at 7:00 pm.
