Phil joined GTCR in 1992 and became a Principal in 1997. Phil previously worked in the corporate finance department of Kidder, Peabody and Company. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and a BBA in Finance with high honors from the Honors Business Program at the University of Texas.

Phil is co-head of the Information Services & Technology Group at GTCR and has been focused on building this area for GTCR since 1996. Phil is currently a director of Sorenson Communications, IQNavigator, Global Traffic Network and Cannondale Investments. Phil has played a leadership role in a number of past investments involving AppNet, Transaction Network Services, DigitalNet, Cellnet and Solera.

Founded in 1980, GTCR is a leading private equity firm focused on investing in growth companies in the Financial Services & Technology, Healthcare and Information Services & Technology industries. Ms. Maliwanag joined Pathway in 1997 and is a director in the California office. She is responsible for investment analysis and due diligence, negotiating and reviewing investment vehicle documents, and client servicing. Additionally, Ms. Maliwanag serves on the advisory boards and valuation committees of several private equity investment limited partnerships.

Prior to joining Pathway, Ms. Maliwanag worked at BankAmerica Ventures, where she was responsible for originating and evaluating direct venture investments. She also assisted in establishing the bank's fund investment program subsequent to its merger with Security Pacific Bank. Prior to joining BankAmerica Ventures in 1993, Ms. Maliwanag held corporate and public accounting positions. She received a BS in business administration from California State University, Fullerton, and is a certified public accountant (inactive). Ms. Maliwanag serves on the board of directors of The Girl Scouts of Orange County.

Ms. Chaffin joined Pathway in 2011 and is a vice president in the California office. She is responsible for client servicing and business development in the United States.

Prior to joining Pathway, Ms. Chaffin worked at Marwit Capital, where she was responsible for investor relations, finance, and investment management. Her prior experience includes eight years with J.P. Morgan's Mergers & Acquisitions Group in New York, as well as corporate finance roles with GE Capital, Stern Stewart, and the Huntington National Bank. Ms. Chaffin received a BS in business administration from the Ohio State University and an MBA, with honors, from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
