Since olden days, when sailors 'pickled' their wine with spirits to preserve it, fortified wines have had their special place in wine lovers' hearts and their tables. However, this kind of wine is often not understood well, under appreciated, and thus under served and enjoyed.

Join us on a Sommelier led exploration of Fortified wines - Ports, Sherries, Madeiras, and perhaps some Marsalas, and more, in the 11th edition of our wine appreciation series. Discover your latent love for these special wines and leave armed with the knowledge and confidence to shop for great Fortifieds at great values.

This tasting follows the standard format, $25 pays for a taste of 6 - 8 wines paired exclusively with an insightful Sommelier-led lecture geared towards serious students of wine, followed by additional pours and mingling.

Jointly sponsored by the College and Chicago Booth alumni associations, we invite novices and aficionados of all levels.
