Professor
In combination with his academic expertise as a professor in Advanced Risk Management and Advanced Portfolio Management at EHSAL, and professor Risk Management at the VUB-Solvay Master Program and of Portfolio Management at the KU Leuven, Prof. Dr. Stefan Duchateau is uniquely positioned to discuss the topic with us on January 19 at De Warande.
Mr. Duchateau is a reference in the Belgian financial industry. Under his leadership, KBC was the first to introduce the capital guaranteed fund (the “Click” Fund) in Belgium. He transformed KBC Asset Management into the European leader in the segment of structured retail products. Overall, over the last 10 years assets under management increased by a factor 15 to € 160 billion!
Currently, Mr. Duchateau holds positions as president of the board in several investment management companies in Belgium, Luxemburg, Ireland, and Central Europe. He also works as an independent management consultant for a selection of industry players, amongst which Argenta Bank and Insurance Group, the world’s leading diamant trader Rosy Blue NV, Mensura Insurance Co, several government bodies and major pension funds.
