Chicago Booth Luncheon Series

The University of Chicago Alumni Club of Belgium

January 19, 2010: 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM

Risk Management at Financial Institutions: Where Did it Fail, and What's Next? Where did risk management across the financial industry fall short? Can we identify some root causes of the failure of the systems in place? More important, what are possible systemic solutions to avoid a similar meltdown in the future while safeguarding economic growth and financial innovation? The subject has been widely discussed in the press and is still a hot topic in international politics and within regulatory bodies worldwide.
