The University of Chicago Alumni Club of the UK invites all alumni, friends, family and guests to a Christmas concert at Temple Church, a magnificent historic gem, hidden away within the Inns of Court and dating back to the 12th century. This is the first concert hosted by the University of Chicago Alumni Club of the UK in collaboration with the accomplished, young composer and conductor Alexander Campkin, a graduate of Oxford University and the Royal Academy of Music and a finalist in the British Composer of the Year Award 2008. He will conduct The Oxbridge Singers, a chamber choir of professional singers, who will perform a repertoire of well known pieces and carols, as well as his own award winning compositions and the premiere of Christmas Gifts. Following the performance a reception will be held in the oldest section of Temple Church, the Norman "round church", which some of you might remember from the movie the Da Vinci Code. We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible for this seasonal celebration and hope to make this an annual event. The concert is kindly supported by Global Markets Consultants.
