The University of Chicago Alumni Club of the UK invites you to a first seasonal Simply Connect event. To highlight the diversity of the Chicago alumni community, we are celebrating Diwali, the Hindu Festival of Lights.
The Indian deities worshipped on Diwali are Lakshmi, the goddess of prosperity and Ganesh, the god of education and success, also thought of as remover of obstacles. Lamps are illuminated all across the streets and homes to welcome prosperity and wellbeing.
We welcome all alumni, family and friends to the Mint Leaf Lounge near Moorgate & Bank for drinks, including yummy non-alcoholic cocktails, and look forward to celebrating Diwali together.
