What is the Headhunter's Ball?
For the June edition of our bi-monthly alumni happy hour, we are encouraging people to bring their favorite Headhunter or HR rep. This is a great informal opportunity to help our classmates that are in the midst of job searches. We encourage those not job-hunting, to come and catch up with old friends.
Who is invited?
- Alumni of Chicago Booth
- Current Students at Chicago Booth summering in NYC
- Executive Search personnel
- HR or other hiring managers
Do I need to be job-hunting to attend?
No. We hope to see the "usual suspects" for our regular bi-monthly alumni happy hours too. The professional networking is just an added benefit.
Who pays?
Cash bar. Despite current market conditions, what Milton Friedman said about lunches applies to happy hours too.
Any surprises?
Jessica Henry, Senior Associate Director of Career Services; Stacey Kole, Clinical Professor of Economics and Deputy Dean for the Full-Time MBA Program; and Julie Morton, Associate Dean of Career Services will be attending as our special guests (ok, it's not a surprise anymore).
How can I help?
Most important, please personally invite your favorite Executive Search consultants and HR managers. These can be people from your own company, friends that are hiring, or anyone else that will help our classmates in their job searches. Please forward this invitation to them, and they can reply via the link below.
Second, please invite as many classmates as you can. Our distribution lists are imperfect, and we can use your help spreading the word. Forward this email to them. Nag them on Facebook. Twitter about the event. In extreme cases, pick up the phone.
If this isn't enough, email Mike and he'll be happy to put you to work at the event itself.
