International MBA Brewery Tour and Speaker Event
June 30, 2009: 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM
You may have been missing I-MBA Happy Hour, or perhaps you have not yet had a chance to join in the fun...well the good news is that a number of representatives of top bschool alumni clubs in Joburg have gotten together to give Happy Hour a step up this year!
Events will be organised and hosted by different schools on a rotational basis, and should have a little more substance than *just* getting together for drinks – although rest assured I am sure we will find occasion for 1 or 2 regular happy hours during the year!
MIT/Sloan and South African Breweries are hosting the first event.

Charlie Frenette (Speaker)
Our speaker brings a unique perspective on South Africa’s position in the international market, based on his experiences with two of the most successful beverage companies in the world. Charlie Frenette is an independent business consultant, currently supporting SAB’s Managing Director with the company’s strategic planning and marketing strategy development. He served as a non-executive director of the Miller Brewing Company from 2004 to 2008, and served as Interim Chief Marketing Officer in 2005. During his 27-year tenure at the Coca-Cola Company, Frenette served as chief operating officer of the company's Europe, Eurasian and African operations, as the company's chief marketing officer, and as the president of Coke's southern Africa division.
