Michelle Eppley (Speaker)
Speech Pathologist and Voice Trainer, The Sound Center

Guided by the philosophy that everyone has a lot to say, Michelle Eppley's mission is to help people enhance voice,speech, and communication skills. She is founder and president of The Sound Center in Oak Brook, Illinois. Accommodating clients for over 15 years, Michelle and her team offer assessments and training to promote confidence, intelligibility, and effective communication capabilities. Clientele include executives from diverse industries, broadcasters, clergy, actors, singers, and professional speakers.
Providing instruction and enhancement for voice, speech, and accent, Michelle has worked in a variety of settings and locations, including skilled nursing facilities, hospitals, a speech-language clinic, and on-site at corporations. She has taught intensive accent modification courses at DePaul University's English Language Academy, and a course in anatomy and physiology of speech at Northern Illinois University. Currently, she is on the faculty of Governors State University, teaching a graduate course in Voice Disorders, and she serves as a specialist in the Voice Clinic at Loyola University Medical Center. In addition, Michelle enjoys presenting workshops and seminars and performing as a vocalist.
Ms. Eppley earned a Bachelor of Music at the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, studying under a performance scholarship in voice, and a Master of Arts in speech pathology from the University of Iowa with a specialty in Vocology. She is nationally certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is licensed by the State of Illinois.
