Event Details

Despite decades of slow growth, political instability, and economic ineptitude, some parts of Africa are prospering. Driven by investment from China, abundant natural resources, and political stability, countries such as South Africa, Angola, and Botswana are becoming less frontier markets and more like their emerging market counterparts elsewhere. Are these trends sustainable? Why is Chinese investment both an asset and a liability? Do issues such as Boko Haram, Zimbabwe, and the global oil glut threaten to reverse the advances? The International Roundable is pleased to host Dr. Ijose, a native of Nigeria, as he assesses Africa's prospects for economic growth.
