Event Details

Join IDEO at the University of Chicago's new innovation campus, the Chicago Innovation Exchange, for a stellar lineup of speakers:

Neil Stevenson is a Managing Director at IDEO Chicago. He spent the first decade of his career studying culture and human behavior at the helm of culture and lifestyle magazines in London, including Mixmag, Heat, and The Face. Neil's greatest wish is to travel back in time to meet his eight-year-old former self, and blow his mind by showing him the capabilities of a 2015 cellphone.
An architect and Senior Project Leader, Michelle Ha Tucker's interest in the built environment has slowly increased in scale over time: from dollhouses as a child to airports as an architecture graduate student to her current interest, the City of Chicago, as a designer at IDEO.
Ryan Osero is a food and beverage professional and amateur eater. After graduating with a degree in chemical engineering, he promptly began eating and drinking his way around the world for work and pleasure. Prior to landing at IDEO Chicago, where he helps lead the F & B portfolio, Ryan stirred the pot at General Mills and Anheuser-Busch InBev.
Before studying mechanical engineering and industrial design, Steve Schwall grew up "helping" his dad maintain the family cars, honing his skill to find a 1/4" crescent wrench. Now a Portfolio Director and Senior Project Leader, Steve has worked with car manufacturers for much of his professional career, envisioning the future of trucks, electric vehicles, and in-vehicle interfaces.
Guest speaker Sonya Jackson lives and works by the philosophy "Good People Can Change the World." While she might rest on the laurels of her career success as a long-time executive in corporate giving at organizations including United Airlines, BP Foundation, and The Sears-Roebuck Foundation, she instead founded Mantra for Good, an organization that unites people to work on projects to improve lives and our world.
