Join us for the inaugural event of UChicago Boston's new lecture series, The Art of the Start, where we will hear from successful Maroons in a variety of fields about the hurdles they overcame and the key lessons they learned along the way. This will be a fascinating and instructive exploration of the enthusiasm and doubt that drive commitment to a project when success is anything but assured.
Those early, make-or-break days of the now-famous Harpoon Brewery will be the subject of this casual evening on Boston's waterfront with Co-Founder and CEO Dan Kenary (MBA '85). Following a private tour of the brewery and a beer tasting, Dan will share the story of how he got started in the beer business as a newly-minted Booth graduate decades before craft beer enjoyed the popularity it does today, leaving significant time for questions at the end.
Registration begins at 6pm in the Harpoon Brewery Tasting Room, with the tour beginning promptly at 6:30, followed by our conversation with Dan. Limited parking is available on site, plus some additional street parking in the area. The Silver Line will also take you directly to the brewery from South Station, and is recommended.
